Basketball Recap: Kootenai Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Kootenai hadn't done well against Highland recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Kootenai Warriors walked away with a 78-71 win over the Highland Huskies. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Huskies back in December of 2024, they had to take a 48-33 loss.

Kootenai's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Highland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kootenai will welcome Clark Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Kootenai's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Highland, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Genesee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland is facing Genesee at the right time seeing as Genesee is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
