Baseball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dripping Springs Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Maroons of the 10-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Dripping Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Austin beat Dripping Springs by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.
