Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Lakeland's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeland can now relate to. They took a hard 64-49 fall against the Westview Warriors on Friday. The Lakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 52-48.

The defeat snapped Lakeland's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-9 record. As for Westview, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Lakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westview, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Central Noble at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Central Noble will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Westview surely won't give up without a fight.
