Desert Oasis faced Silverado in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Diamondbacks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Skyhawks. The Diamondbacks not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th.

While Desert Oasis might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Silverado scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

Ellis Mcgrath paced Desert Oasis' offense, picking up 16 kills. Mcgrath got some help from Carter Aldridge and his 31 assists.

Desert Oasis' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-14. As for Silverado, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Desert Oasis and Foothill will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Diamondbacks are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Silverado, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Amplus Academy at 6:00 p.m. The Skyhawks will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Archers will have lost ten straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
