Soccer Recap: Friends' Central Starts Season with Win Against Sun Valley

Friends' Central had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Sun Valley Vanguards a 1-0 shutout.

Friends' Central and Sun Valley will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Friends' Central sees the pitch they'll take on Abington Friends at 4:00 p.m. on September 9. As for Sun Valley, their break will end when they face Ridley at 12:30 p.m. on September 6.
