Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Garner

Garner saw some tournament action on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 43-26 win over the Springer Cardinals. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Longhorns' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1095th in Texas, while the Cardinals are ranked 170th in Oklahoma).

The win got Garner back to even at 6-6. As for Springer, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Garner will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Moran at 11:00 a.m. on December 28th. As for Springer, they will be home for the holidays to greet Ryan at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
