Baseball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside lost against Vale back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates lost 11-1 to the Vikings.

Riverside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Vale, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Riverside is set to take on their familiar foe Enterprise/Joseph at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Vale will face off against rival McLoughlin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
