Basketball Recap: Pigeon Forge Takes a Loss

Pigeon Forge was the 73-57 winner over Gibbs when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pigeon Forge Tigers received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 59-41 to the Gibbs Eagles. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dalton Tipton was a one-man wrecking crew for Gibbs as he went 7 for 9 on his way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Tipton a new career-high. Zack Turner was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Pigeon Forge's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Gibbs, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Pigeon Forge will be playing in front of their home fans against Gatlinburg-Pittman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gatlinburg-Pittman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Pigeon Forge likes a good challenge. As for Gibbs, they will venture away from home to challenge Carter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
