4A Great Basin - East recap September 24, 2013
Rigby extended the longest winning streak in 4A Great Basin - East this week by beating Skyline, 32-13. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Rigby made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,257 from 3,442. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 32-13 victory over the Grizzlies last week.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between RanDel Waite's team and Century. The Trojans enters the contest ranked 13th in the state, while the Diamondbacks ranks 15th.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Rigby's Connor Francia goes up against Century's Braeden Leiby.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Trojans and David Spillett's team face off next week. Hayden Livingston has thrown for 332 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Austin Ferguson has plagued opposing QBs to the tune of 1.0 sacks.
Next week's game between Rigby and the Diamondbacks will feature an aerial matchup as Livingston tests his arm against Leiby's defensive ability.
