Basketball Recap: North Comes Up Short

North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through an 85-57 loss at the hands of the Riverside Beavers. The Rangers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-21.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braylon Rolf, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points. Rolf is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Nate Sagendorph was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Leading Riverside to victory were Drew Brown and Kyle Harden. Brown shot 4-for-5 from deep and dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards, while Harden went 6-for-8 on his way to 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Colin Durkin, who went 5-for-11 en route to 14 points.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Riverside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

North has already played their next matchup, a 47-41 loss against South on the 11th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-69 defeat against University School on the 8th.
