Football Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Seabreeze

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Seabreeze walked away with it. They slipped by the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas 7-6 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Sandcrabs have posted since March 13, 2024.

The victory (which was Seabreeze's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.4 points on average over those games. As for New Smyrna Beach, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.

Seabreeze wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 26-0 loss against Jones on the 17th. As for New Smyrna Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-6 victory against Weeki Wachee on the 23rd.
