Kennedy extended their winning streak to seven on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 7-0 in the process. They came out on top against the Nestucca Bobcats by a score of 8-5. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 9-0 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2018.

As for Nestucca, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

For Nestucca's part, Jaxon Jensen was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Jensen also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nestucca is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Jensen was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Kennedy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-4 win against Country Christian on the 15th. As for Nestucca, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-8 defeat against Vernonia on the 15th.
