The Westminster School Martlets will face off against the Trinity-Pawling School Pride at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westminster School is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Westminster School gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Williston Northampton 14-4. The victory continues a trend for the Martlets in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Jake Pleau was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Shaw Turton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Pleau wasn't the only one making solid contact: Westminster School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Trinity-Pawling School and Hotchkiss School meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Pride sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Bearcats.

Luc Bush was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Tristen Hong, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

The victory got Trinity-Pawling School back to even at 3-3. As for Westminster School, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Westminster School has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .494. However, it's not like Trinity-Pawling School struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Westminster School took their victory against Trinity-Pawling School in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-5 score. Do the Martlets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pride turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
