Football Recap: Trinity Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Trinity unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings by a score of 19-16 on Friday. If the Shamrocks were looking for revenge after losing 18-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Trinity's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Maddox Jarzynski, who picked up 171 receiving yards, and Mason Boyer, who punched in two rushing scores.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on East Pennsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Shamrocks their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Allentown Central Catholic, they will challenge Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
