Basketball Recap: Marlboro County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Aynor last Thursday, Marlboro County came back down to earth. The Marlboro County Bulldogs lost to the Georgetown Bulldogs on the road by a 62-48 margin on Tuesday.

Amos Jones continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Georgetown, putting up 25 points and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Ean Mitchell, who posted nine points.

Marlboro County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Georgetown, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marlboro County will square off against Dillon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Georgetown, they will take on Loris at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Georgetown comes in on four and Loris on five.
