Volleyball Recap: Benjamin Russell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Benjamin Russell faced off against Elmore County on Thursday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Benjamin Russell started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

Benjamin Russell dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Elmore County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Coincidentally, Benjamin Russell and Elmore County will both be playing Jemison the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Panthers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
