Godby won the last time they faced Thomasville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Godby Cougars put the hurt on the Thomasville Bulldogs with a sharp 61-35 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 22 points or more this season.

Godby got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Staten out in front who posted 16 points. Terrell Ceasor was another key player, putting up 13 points.

When it comes to explaining why Thomasville lost, don't look at Xavier Burkes Jr.. Despite the final result, he put up 16 points.

The win was the fifth in a row for Godby, bringing their record for this year to 10-2. As for Thomasville, they moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Godby will venture away from home to square off against Florida State University High School at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. As for Thomasville, they will welcome Cairo at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th.
