Jackson Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-52 W against the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Bobcats are ranked 49th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jackson Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-4. As for Presbyterian Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-13 record this season.
