Recap: Meeker Bulldogs vs. Holdenville Wolverines
The Meeker Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 62-35 defeat at the hands of Holdenville. Meeker has struggled against Holdenville recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Holdenville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bella Smith led the charge by scoring 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Cylee Null, who scored 13 points.
Meeker's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6. As for Holdenville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Meeker will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chandler at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Holdenville will be home for the holidays to greet Wilson-Henryetta at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
