Baseball Recap: Indian Lake Lakers vs. West Liberty-Salem Tigers
Indian Lake fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against West Liberty-Salem on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 7-6. The Lakers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Madden Lillard put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Indian Lake is 4-2 when Lillard allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Lillard was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Lillard wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brady Golliday, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Tyler Tidwell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

As for West Liberty-Salem, they will head out on the road to square off against Cedarville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians are coming into the contest with three straight victories at home, so the Tigers will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
