Basketball Recap: Easton Durden's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Victory Christian Academy over Oak Park Christian

Victory Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Oak Park Christian, falling 66-42.

Victory Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Easton Durden, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks Durden has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Chatman, who posted 11 points.

Victory Christian Academy now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Oak Park Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

When Victory Christian Academy and Oak Park Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Victory Christian Academy will try to stop Ezekiel Academy's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Victory Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Oak Park Christian will try to stop Escambia Academy's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
