With a playoff win on the line, Dr. Phillips rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Vero Beach Indians. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Despite the defeat, Vero Beach saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tarvos Alford picked up 0.5 sacks and made 18 total tackles (1.5 for loss). The dominant performance also gave Champ Monds a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Dr. Phillips' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.8 points. As for Vero Beach, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Dr. Phillips didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 24-13 defeat against Lake Mary on the 6th. Vero Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
