Northwestern came into Tuesday's contest having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since October 3, 2024.

Northwestern's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-12. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
