Basketball Game Preview: Greenville Green Wave vs. Troy Trojans

Greenville hasn't had much luck against Troy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Greenville Green Wave will welcome the Troy Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Greenville is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Butler, falling 55-30. The contest marked the Green Wave's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Greenville had strong showings from Drew Hamilton, who posted 11 points and seven boards, and David Conway, who scored seven points. Joshua Baker also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Troy ended up a good deal behind Tippecanoe on Tuesday and lost 56-42. The Trojans have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Troy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Greenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
