Baseball Recap: Wabasso Rabbits vs. Springfield Tigers
Wabasso had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it four. They lost 14-4 to the Springfield Tigers. The Rabbits were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.
As for Springfield, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average this season.
For Springfield's part, they let Madden Lendt and Aiden Moriarty run wild. Lendt went 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI, while Moriarty went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four runs gave Lendt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brecken Heiling, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.
