Football Game Preview: Taravella Trojans vs. Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes

The Taravella Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Taravella hasn't scored more than 13 points for seven games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Thursday, Taravella needed a bit of extra time to put away Miramar. They managed a 12-6 win over the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Pompano Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 26-0 to Stoneman Douglas. While losing is never fun, the Golden Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Eagles are ranked 22nd).

Taravella's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Pompano Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Taravella lost to Pompano Beach on the road by a decisive 18-0 margin in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
