Christian Ministries Academy was the 72-40 winner over Gospel Light Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors lost to the Gospel Light Christian Lions on the road by a 78-63 margin on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (62), the Conquerors still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Christian Ministries Academy lost, don't look at Gavin Hicks. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 34 points and 13 boards. The contest was Hicks' third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Cade Elledge, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Christian Ministries Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.
