Strongsville owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They strolled past the Shaker Heights Red Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 17-0. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 357th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Strongsville pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for Shaker Heights, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
