Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Karter Green stepped things up a notch to give Sayre the 'W'. Green did his part (and then some), not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched for the 'W'.
Green and Sayre will head out on the road to square off against Mansfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Green has dominated as far as strikeouts are concerned (he's averaged 5 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Mansfield has only allowed 3.63 per game this season.
