Volleyball Game Preview: Houston Hurricanes vs. LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals + How To Watch

The Houston Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Houston is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Houston managed to slip by Lanesboro the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hurricanes lost 3-0 to the Burros on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hurricanes have suffered against the Burros since September 5, 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-13.

Despite their loss, Houston saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Olivia Yohe, who had 14 digs and ten assists, was perhaps the best of all. Emmie Melbo was another key player, getting 17 digs.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when LeRoy-Ostrander took on Spring Grove on Saturday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Lions.

Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.

Houston came up short against LeRoy-Ostrander in their previous meeting back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Hurricanes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
