Baseball Recap: Golden Gate Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Golden Gate's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Evangelical Christian Sentinels on Friday.

Golden Gate has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. Evangelical Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5.

Looking ahead, Golden Gate will square off against Bonita Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Golden Gate has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Evangelical Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge North Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (North Fort Myers 4, Evangelical Christian 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
