Baseball Recap: Gulf Pointe Latin Takes a Loss

Gulf Pointe Latin lost against West Florida Baptist Academy two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gladiators lost 15-5 to the Conquerors.

Chace Porten was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

Gulf Pointe Latin's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Gulf Pointe Latin will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Trinitas Christian at 5:00 p.m. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they will head out to face off against Lighthouse Private Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Conquerors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Stingrays have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
