Baseball Game Preview: Compton Tarbabes vs. Jordan Panthers

Compton is 0-10 against Jordan since April of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Tarbabes will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Compton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Compton's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Dominguez by a score of 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tarbabes.

The result came thanks to Andrew Ruiz's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

At the plate, Compton secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Eric Vera, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Vera has posted since back in March.

Jordan played against Centennial on Wednesday and won via forfeit.

The victory (which was Jordan's third in a row) raised their record to 10-10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Compton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1.
