Baseball Recap: Prescott Comes Up Short

Prescott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 10-7 to the Centerpoint Knights. The Curley Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Wes Harper made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Will Avery, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Prescott's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Centerpoint, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Prescott will venture away from home to square off against Genoa Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centerpoint, they will take on Bismarck at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
