Softball Recap: Sparrows Point Victorious

While Sparrows Point's win against Western Tech & Environmental Science wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pointers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wolverines 11-9. The Pointers haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Sparrows Point got a massive performance out of Allie Roberts, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Roberts has posted since back in May of 2025. Chole Fields also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Sparrows Point kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Tech & Environmental Science only managed seven.

Sparrows Point picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-2. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparrows Point will head out to face off against Catonsville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, they will take on Perry Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
