El Segundo got themselves on the board against Redondo Union on Saturday, but Redondo Union never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sea Hawks, sneaking past 1-0. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 5-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Jacy Lindsay, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Redondo Union off the board. Lindsay has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, El Segundo saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Cswaykus, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

El Segundo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. Redondo Union's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-1.

El Segundo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against West on the 17th. As for Redondo Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-1 victory against Mira Costa on the 21st.
