After a string of three wins, Reseda's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sylmar Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Reseda couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Sylmar a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 28-30, 25-11, 25-20.

Reseda's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Sylmar, their win bumped their record up to 18-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Reseda will square off against rival Van Nuys at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sylmar is set to challenge their familiar foe Canoga Park at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
