Volleyball Recap: Kelly Walsh Extends Winning Streak to Four

Kelly Walsh entered their tilt with Star Valley on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Braves by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win back in September.

Kelly Walsh got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noa Hodgin out in front who had 33 assists and eight digs. Those 33 assists gave Hodgin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sedar Smith, who had 11 digs.

When it comes to explaining why Star Valley lost, don't look at Camryn Mackey. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs. Mackey has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxtin Ware, who had eight digs and three assists.

Kelly Walsh's victory bumped their record up to 30-3. As for Star Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-15.

Kelly Walsh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Green River on the 1st. As for Star Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Natrona County on the 1st.
