Baseball Recap: Lincoln Southeast Comes Up Short

Lincoln Southeast came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Columbus Discoverers by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered since April 11th.

Lincoln Southeast saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Volpp, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Lincoln Southeast has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Columbus, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-13 record this season.
