Volleyball Recap: Oakmont Comes Up Short

Oakmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nevada Union Miners. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Miners when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Troy Maxsom paced Oakmont's offense, picking up ten kills. Maxsom got some help from Adam Wegsteen and his 16 assists.

Oakmont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Nevada Union, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Oakmont will take on Marysville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Nevada Union, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Antelope on the 8th.
