El Camino had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Escondido Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While El Camino won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-9, 25-23.

Leading El Camino to victory were Analecia Curran and Makayla Boone. Curran had five digs and five aces, while Boone had seven digs. Curran is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served five or more in each of the last three games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: El Camino was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 16 aces in three consecutive contests.

El Camino's record is now 26-10. As for Escondido, they moved to 12-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

El Camino has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ramona on the 21st. As for Escondido, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Canyon Crest Academy on the 21st.
