Palestine-Wheatley is a perfect 3-0 against West Memphis since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Palestine-Wheatley Patriots will take on the West Memphis Blue Devils at 3:30 p.m. Palestine-Wheatley will be strutting in after a win while West Memphis will be coming in after a defeat.

Palestine-Wheatley took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Cross County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Palestine-Wheatley skirted past Cross County 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Meanwhile, West Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 22-2 to Armorel.

Margo Killingsworth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Emma Emberton was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

West Memphis' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Palestine-Wheatley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Palestine-Wheatley was able to grind out a solid win over West Memphis in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palestine-Wheatley since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
