Southern Valley will head into Friday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They lost 61-38 to Medicine Valley.

Meanwhile, Alma entered their tilt with Dundy County-Stratton on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 61-52.

Alma's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Southern Valley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Southern Valley and Alma were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but Southern Valley came up empty-handed after a 48-47 loss.
