Russell came up big in Briggs' 19-9 win
Clay Russell was a major factor in Briggs's win over Africentric Early College on Tuesday. Africentric Early College had no answer to Russell as he scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Russell and Briggs will head out on the road to face off against Walnut Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Briggs is 10-0 against Walnut Ridge going back to May of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
