Basketball Game Preview: Black Hills Wolves vs. Centralia Tigers

Black Hills has gone 9-1 against Centralia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Black Hills Wolves will head out to face off against the Centralia Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Black Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.

Black Hills will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Tumwater, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Black Hills was the clear victor by a 57-36 margin over Tumwater on Friday. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Black Hills found their leader in sophomore Natalie Buchanan, who posted 17 points along with eight boards and five steals. Buchanan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Venable, who earned 17 points.

Meanwhile, Centralia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shelton. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Highclimbers are ranked 110th).

Centralia's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Black Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Everything went Black Hills' way against Centralia when the teams last played back in January, as Black Hills made off with a 55-35 victory. In that match, Black Hills amassed a halftime lead of 33-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
