Softball Game Preview: Calallen Wildcats vs. Needville Bluejays

For the second straight game, Calallen will face off against Needville. The Wildcats will square off against the Bluejays at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Calallen is coming into the match hot, having won their last 14 games.

Calallen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over Needville.

Jordyn Thibodeaux made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Kylie Butcher was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Kiana Vargas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
