Softball Recap: Williams Field Find Success

Williams Field's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the San Luis Sidewinders, sneaking past 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Black Hawks have posted since April 12, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Jyllian Skoda, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kam Christansen, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Skoda wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Williams Field kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. Williams Field is a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Williams Field moved to 6-4-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for San Luis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Williams Field will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Perry at 3:45 p.m. on March 17th. Perry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season. As for San Luis, they have already played their next match, a 16-0 defeat against Chaparral on the 7th.
