Softball Recap: Holtville's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Saturday. Holtville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Kinston. The victory was familiar territory for Holtville, who have now won three contests in a row.

Holtville's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Snowden, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another was Kinsley Faulk, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Holtville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .421 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Holtville's victory bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Kinston, the defeat snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 10-1 record.

Looking ahead, Holtville will venture away from home to challenge Chilton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holtville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Kinston, they have already played their next game, a 6-3 loss against Slocomb on the 1st.
