Softball Recap: Sneads Pirates vs. Marianna Bulldogs
Sneads had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 3-12 to make it four. They took an 18-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marianna Bulldogs. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Reagan Tyus led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was JaVayah Johnson, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs.
Marianna's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Marianna's side, Alannah Henderson was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those three hits gave Henderson a new career-high.
