West Springfield came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Chase Trojans by a score of 7-3.

West Springfield pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Chase, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Springfield will face off against Wayne at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.25 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
